Three Colors and Shapes

Three Colors and Shapes is a video and light installation inspired by Wassily Kandinsky’s color theory. Kandinsky understood color in relation to shape and that together they create specific spatial effects. This project explores Kandinsky’s theory by use of threedimensional objects, moving image, and light. Three distinctly shaped and colored objects – yellow pyramid, red cube and blue sphere are positioned on the wall. Inside of each object there are programmable LED lights and a video in color of the object. Viewers are invited to look inside the objects and engage in a video narrative through three distinct colors and shapes.
Below are the screenshots and the videos that appear in the objects.
